Exploring Early Austin County Oil History: A Presentation by Jeff Spencer [VIDEO]

The Bellville Historical Society met on November 13, 2022 at 5 pm for their monthly meeting. The guest speaker for the evening was Jeff Spencer, who gave a presentation on Early Austin County Oil History from 1879 to 1927.

Mr. Spencer’s presentation was both informative and engaging, as he used a combination of historical photos, maps, and background information to tell the story of the oil industry in Austin County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
